description Historic Farewell Bend State Recreation Area is located on the banks of the Snake River's Brownlee Reservoir offering fishing, water skiing and boating. Reservations recommended during the summer. October through April is first come first serve, except for the cabins, with limited sites open. The cabins are available for reservations year round. A bathroom with showers will be available. Enjoy the evening programs. There are many topics covered throughout the summer. Please call the park for upcoming programs. The use of fireworks of any kind is not allowed at Farewell Bend. MAKE SURE YOUR SITE MEETS YOUR CAMPING NEEDS Before reserving, please become familiar with the particulars of your chosen site, including the size of the tent pad area and the type of equipment that you may bring to the park. drivingDirection Farewell Bend State Park is located 24 miles northwest of Ontario, Oregon and 4 miles southeast of Huntington, Oregon on the west bank of the Snake River's Brownlee Reservoir. The park is on the end of the reservoir, about 50 miles upstream of Brownlee Dam. Interstate 84, take exit 353 onto Highway 30, to park entrance, 1 mile. Directions are the same eastbound and westbound.

importantInformation Only one vehicle is included with standard camp fees. A second vehicle kept at a campsite (or alternate parking area) is subject to a nightly Extra Vehicle fee. The nightly Extra Vehicle fee is currently $7.00. Please note that Farewell Bend State Park is located in Eastern Oregon just across the Idaho border along the Snake River. The other Farewell Bend park is a federal park in Southwest Oregon. Due to fluctuations of the reservoir, it is advised that you check the water level prior to making your reservation or arriving at the park. If you reserve a cabin, please look for your access combination in the Security Alerts section of your confirmation letter. There is an $8 reservation fee per site reserved. An $8 transaction fee is charged for any date or site changes made to an existing reservation. *Reservations for more than five nights/days that are later changed to fewer nights/days by cancelling nights at the end of the stay will only pay an $8 transaction fee. Please be aware that only the person whose name is on the reservation, their designee or the primary occupant may access, change or cancel the reservation. Reservations can be made 24 hours a day, from 1 day to 9 months in advance. Internet reservations become available at midnight.
